Masjid As-Salam

Established in the early 1980s as the first masjid to open in Jersey Square’s Journal Square area, Masjid AS-Salam was fully registered and incorporated in 1997. We are a non-profit religious organization and public charity dedicated to serving the Muslim community through religious, social, cultural, educational, and charitable purposes.

Located at the heart of Jersey City’s Journal Square, we are committed to being an integral part of the community and always ready to serve.

Daily Hours of Operation:

• Opens 30 minutes before dawn (Fajr) and closes 1 hour after Fajr
• Opens 30 minutes before Thuhr (noon) and remains open until evening
• Opens 1 hour before Jumaa (Friday) prayers
• Closes 20 minutes after Isha’a (evening) prayers

We welcome visitors and community members daily, striving to create a welcoming environment for all who seek spiritual guidance, community connection, and Islamic services.
